CalcWheel is made by one person, so please allow a little time for a reply. If you are reporting a problem, it helps enormously to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Each puzzle is a ring of numbers and operators with a target number in the middle. Drag a path from one number through an operator to another number, and keep going for as long as you like. When the path adds up to the target, that target is solved. Every puzzle has five targets.
The app explains this too, with examples: tap Home → How to play.
This is the one rule that makes CalcWheel different, and it is deliberate: there is no operator precedence. The path counts in the order you drag it, left to right, so 2 + 3 × 4 is worked out as (2 + 3) × 4 = 20 rather than the usual 2 + (3 × 4) = 14. Nothing to memorise — the path itself is the sum.
Pro is a one-time purchase — not a subscription. It unlocks:
Open Home → Store and tap Restore purchases. This is also what to do after reinstalling the app or moving to a new iPhone.
A restore only finds purchases made with the same Apple Account that bought them. If nothing is found, check which account is signed in under iOS Settings → your name → Media & Purchases.
A hint reveals one step of a solution, so you can take just as much help as you need. You start with five. If you run out, the app gives you one free hint the next day you open it. More can be bought in packs of 5 or 20, and Pro comes with 20.
Yes, if you have Pro. Solve the day you missed from the calendar and the streak reconnects. This works up to 7 days back; older gaps cannot be repaired.
That is intentional. Daily puzzles get harder as the week goes on — Monday is gentle, the weekend is not. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle each day.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by me — I have no way to issue one. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If the reason is something broken in the app, please also tell me — I would rather know.
Yes. Everything except the Store works with no connection at all — no account, no sign-in, and nothing to wait for.
None. There is no tracking, no analytics and no advertising, and your progress never leaves your device. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Italian. The app follows your iPhone's language, and you can also set it by hand in Settings.
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. CalcWheel is designed for iPhone. It will also run on an iPad, and on a Mac with Apple silicon, in iPhone compatibility mode — but the layout is not built for those larger screens.
